SELF BIO
Born in the wicked cold of Boston, MA, raised in the mean streets of Baltimore (ok, Towson), MD, and educated in the hallowed grounds of the University of Maryland, I moved to San Diego in 2005 to pursue my dream of being an accountant (lame I know). After experiencing a life altering realization that my job was no fun, I travelled to South America for three months, then returned to San Diego to enroll at SDSU and become a teacher. I have taught at San Diego High, De Portola Middle, and High Tech High Chula Vista, where I have shared my joy for reading and writing with my students. I am excited to join the Inspire Charter Schools team and bring my knowledge of project based learning to the virtual classroom.. When not teaching, I can be found engaging in cardiovascular activities (running, swimming, hiking, biking, etc.) or reading a good book.
